Job Requirements of this Teaching Assistant job in Birmingham
• The role involves working in a school-based or residential education setting, including provisions for Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will support secondary-aged students (Key Stages 3–5) in both small groups and on a one-to-one basis, assisting the class teacher with delivering lessons and implementing personalised learning strategies to meet a range of abilities and additional needs.
• Supporting Secondary students (KS3/KS4/KS5) across a range of subjects, both in and out of the classroom
• A patient, adaptable and proactive approach, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
• Experience, Knowledge and Understanding of working with children/young people with additional learning needs (SEN/SEMH)
• Experience, Knowledge and Understanding of working with disengaged young people or looked after children
• An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to acquire one
