Job Title: Science Technician
Location: Stockton (11–16 Community School & Specialist Sports College)
Salary: £100 – £110 per day
Contract: Full-Time

Smart Education is recruiting a Science Technician to join a large, ambitious, and inclusive 11–16 community school and specialist sports college. The school boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including a refurbished main building, a dedicated Year 7 centre, and extensive sports facilities shared with the local community.

You will join an innovative and supportive Science Department with:

• 14 fully equipped laboratories

• Multiple prep rooms

• A staff workroom

• Four brand-new, purpose-built labs designed with direct input from the Science team

Responsibilities:

• Support the Science Department with preparation of materials, equipment and resources

• Maintain lab equipment and ensure safe working environments

• Assist teachers during practical sessions

• Follow all Health & Safety procedures and best practices

Requirements:

• Experience working in a laboratory or school science prep room

• Strong understanding of Health & Safety in labs/classrooms

• Positive, proactive and flexible attitude

• Enthusiasm for science and supporting practical learning
