Inspire a Love for Learning – Maths Teacher Needed in Middlesbrough

Smart Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking mainstream secondary school in Middlesbrough to recruit an enthusiastic Maths Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team of staff who are committed to delivering high-quality education and helping students achieve their full potential.

You will be teaching KS3 and KS4 pupils, delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that develop students' confidence and skills in Maths. Whether preparing for GCSEs or building key numeracy foundations, you’ll play a key role in helping learners succeed academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver well-structured Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum

• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of mixed-ability groups, including students with mild additional needs

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel supported and challenged

• Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and contribute to assessment and reporting

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for students

• Promote positive behaviour and maintain high expectations in the classroom

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent

• Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4 in a school setting

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• A flexible, proactive, and creative approach to teaching

• Enhanced DBS (Child or Child & Adult Workforce), or willingness to obtain one

• A genuine passion for helping students enjoy and succeed in Maths
