Job Description:

SMART Education would like to recruit a former nurse or experienced first aider to support a secondary school with injuries and illnesses within the school.

This position is currently ad hoc but it could go permanent until the end of the academic year.

The schools are looking to hold interviews and lesson observations as soon as possible.

The schools recognise that creativity enhances children’s academic, social and mental well-being and should not be compromised. They truly believe in having the child at the heart of learning. They like to collaborate with local communities, schools, and beyond and require people who can support this in an administrative way.

• Be the lad first aider in school for both staff and pupils
• Organise whole staff training in medical related areas – such as anaphylaxis, asthma, diabetes and epilepsy
• Organise school immunisations with the school nurse
• Organise pupil appointments with the school nurse and school nurse drop ins

 

Qualifications Required: At least one years’ experience supporting in a first-aid capacity.

Ability to organise and keep on top of administrative elements of first aid

Available full-time

Ideal for a former nurse or nursing practitioner

 

Salary: £23,402 -£25,899

Hours: Full-time Monday to Friday
