We are seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Responsibilities:
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant in the EYFS, you will:
Support Classroom Activities: Assist the EYFS teacher in delivering high-quality, age-appropriate lessons and activities that promote learning through play and exploration.
Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one and small group support to children who may require additional help with their learning, ensuring that all students reach their full potential.
Create a Nurturing Environment: Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment where children feel encouraged to express themselves, develop social skills, and grow emotionally.
Observation and Assessment: Assist in observing and assessing children's progress, keeping accurate records, and reporting findings to the teaching team and parents as necessary.
Resource Preparation: Help prepare teaching materials and resources that align with the EYFS curriculum, ensuring a stimulating and engaging learning environment.
Behaviour Management: Assist in managing behaviour and promoting positive discipline strategies, supporting children in developing self-control and conflict resolution skills.
Parental Engagement: Establish and maintain effective communication with parents, providing regular updates on their child's development and progress.
Safeguarding: Be vigilant in ensuring the safety and well-being of all children, always following safeguarding policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or Teaching Assistance.
- Previous experience working in an EYFS setting is highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
- An ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance.
