Home Tutor

We are currently looking for Home Tutors to join our team immediately in the Cheltenham area. As a Home Tutor, you will be responsible for supporting pupils who are not in mainstream education. The role involves working with children with a range of special educational needs (SEN) or looked after children and requires knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver tailored learning to meet the individual child’s needs.
  • Provide academic support to students with SEN needs/EHCP's.
  • Support children with emotional and behavioural difficulties
  • Provide regular feedback to parents, teachers, and social workers on the child's progress.
  • Work with children on a one-to-one basis or in small groups

Requirements:

  • Prior experience supporting students with SEN needs/EHCP's in a school setting or tutoring position is required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Ability to plan and deliver learning tailored to meet the individual child’s needs.
  • Passionate about supporting children's learning and development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

We offer a flexible role, allowing you to work part-time or full-time, with planning and preparation time of 1-2 hours per student. Opportunities for continual professional development are offered, ensuring you have the necessary skills and knowledge to support the children's learning and development. A DBS check will be required.

Qualifications Required: QTS + 6 months experience.
