SEMH Teaching Assistant

We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work within a Special School in Sandwell from September 2020. You will be providing support in an SEMH setting on a 1:1 and group basis. This is a supportive school where staff share good practice and work closely together. You must be level 3 qualified and have experience of working in schools or young people. Team Teach or another approved restraint training would be advantageous.

This setting supports students with a range of mental health issues and additional needs including learning difficulties and Autism. Students can exhibit challenging behaviour and be engaged from education so prior experience supporting students with these needs would be really helpful.

This role is until Christmas. 5 days a week with the potential of a permanent

Qualifications Required: 6+ Months minimum experience

Salary: £65-75 per day

Hours: 8:15-3:30 Monday to Friday

Location: Sandwell
