Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work within a highly reputable independent school in a rural village in Worcester. You must be level 3 qualified and have experience of working with students with Aspergers Syndrome and Autism.

The role is one to one working with a highly intelligent Year 8 student who requires one to one support in his lessons. You must have a passion for working with pupils and assisting them on their journey, which may have included all manner of set-backs in and outside of education. You must be prepared to go above and beyond and not be phased by challenges you face along the way.

We are looking to appoint a flexible, dynamic and dedicated TA with experience in working with pupils with Special Educational Needs.

The successful candidates will have a varied role, which involves supporting the teacher in all aspects of planning lessons in and out of the classroom, helping to prepare materials and resources, and working together with the teacher to ensure that pupils receive the most effective support. You will be able to demonstrate a practical, hands on approach to supporting teaching.

Previous experience of working with pupils with SEN is essential and the candidate MUST have the following qualities:

• Calm

• Firm but Fair

• Ability to build rapport quickly

• Flexible – be able to think on your feet!

• Good sense of humour

• Ability to see things from the students point of view.

Qualifications Required: 6+ Months minimum experience
