Wednesday, Thursday & Friday | 9:00am – 3:00pm | 15 hours per week
Permanent Position | Immediate Start

 

Smart Education is currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant Level 1 to support SEN children in hydro pool therapy sessions within a specialist educational setting in the Stratford-upon-Avon area. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in the pool and supporting pupils in a therapeutic, sensory-based environment.

Job Requirements:

• Experience working with pupils with SEND
• Level 1 Teaching Assistant experience desirable
• Confident in water-based or pool environments 
• Patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic about working with children in a therapeutic setting
• Ability to work safely and collaboratively with colleagues and therapists
Enhanced Child & Adult Workforce DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

 

Role Responsibilities:

• Support SEN pupils during hydro pool therapy sessions
• Assist with planning and preparation of pool-based activities
• Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence, and safety in the water
• Work closely with therapists, teachers, and support staff
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
