Smart Education is currently recruiting for a Class Teacher to join a dedicated team within a special school in Stratford-upon-Avon. The school caters for pupils aged 3–19 with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including complex needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and non-verbal communication.

 

The school provides a nurturing, inclusive environment built on high expectations, mutual respect, and individuality. Pupils are supported to develop confidence, independence, and essential life skills, preparing them for adulthood. The school is part of a small, ambitious Multi Academy Trust that values collaboration and shared expertise across its schools.

Job Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience working with pupils with SEND (experience with complex ASD/non-verbal pupils desirable)
• Passion for inclusive education and personalised learning
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

 

Role Responsibilities:
• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality, differentiated lessons for pupils with complex learning needs
• Create a positive, supportive learning environment that fosters independence and confidence
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to meet pupil needs
• Maintain accurate records of progress, attainment, and behaviour
• Contribute to a positive school ethos and the wider life of the school community
