Smart Education is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual who is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.

We are proud to be partnering with one of Leamington Spa's mainstream primary schools to find a compassionate and skilled 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a primary school setting.

- Collaborate closely with class teachers and the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).

- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive.

- Assist with sensory and therapeutic activities as required.

- Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.

- Uphold school policies and promote an environment that ensures the well-being and development of SEN students.

Requirements:

- 6 months minimum experience working with children with special educational needs is essential.

- A genuine passion for supporting children with SEN and helping them reach their full potential.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Patience, empathy, and adaptability.

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) on the update service.
