Exam Invigilator

Smart Education are recruiting a large bank of Exam Invigilators to work in secondary SEMH/PRU/Alternative Provision schools across the West Midlands for the spring and summer exams season 2023.

Perfect for people who are looking for ad hoc, seasonal, part time work. The successful candidate must be willing to work on a temporary basis. Experience is not essential but coming from a background of working within schools would be an advantage.

To invigilate examinations following documented processes, procedures and regulations to ensure examinations are run in a secure, confidential and suitable environment. You will also be responsible in ensuring both students and the school comply with regulations as well as creating a safe and consistent experience of examinations for all pupils.

You will ideally have experience of invigilation and have carried out the role previously.

Successful applicants will be able to work flexible daytime hours, be well organised, punctual and reliable, have excellent attention to detail, possess good communication skills and be able to follow and enforce strict regulations. The ideal candidates will have a friendly, approachable and professional manner when working with pupils.

The role includes:

To lay out examinations with relevant examination materials as directed by the Line Manager. To assist students entering the examination room. To record attendance/absence from the examination by completing examination registers. To ensure identification checks are correctly carried out. To report all student queries on examination papers to the Line Manager. Good literacy/numeracy skills are essential, but NO qualifications needed just a clear enhanced DBS on the update service.

 

Qualifications Required: Experience desirable.

Salary: £10.50 per hour
