Head of Design Technology

SMART Education are currently recruiting for a Head of Design Technology for a permanent position for an improving school in Birmingham. The role requires heading up the department and teaching KS3 and KS4. This is a permanent vacancy and the school is looking to interview the right candidate immediately.

About the role:

  • Responsible for the running of the Design Technology department
  • Teach KS3 and KS4 Design Technology
  • Report directly to SLT with progression of all students within the department
  • Work alongside NQTs and experienced teachers

About you:

  • Have previous experience as Head of Design Technology (Preferred but not essential)
  • Have excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Able to communicate effectively with SLT and teachers within the department

About the school:

  • The school we are working with are rated a GOOD school by Ofstead
  • They are looking to add an enthusiastic HOD to the Maths department and someone who can take the department forwards
