PRU Teaching Assistant

Smart Education are closely working with a number of clients in Coventry. We are currently looking to recruit specifically for Pupil Referral Units in Coventry. Currently we are working with an Alternative Provision school in location and they are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant for both part and full time roles. The classes are no larger than 10 students, and you will be supported by the teaching staff. it is important that you are flexible and confident when supporting these pupils who may display difficult behaviours.

This is a supportive school who share good practice and support each other, help and advice is always readily available. The school caters for pupils with SEMH, Autism, ADHD, ODD and challenging behaviour. Candidates must be able to manage behaviour effectively, be resilient and use de-escalation skills effectively, but, also have the ability to be empathetic towards the pupils' needs.

This role is a temp position to start September 2020 with the option to go permanent.

Qualifications Required: 6 months experience in school or relevant setting

Salary: £65 - £85 a day

Hours: 8:30 – 4:30 Monday to Friday

Location: Coventry
