SEMH Qualified Teacher

The opportunity to join a growing community with a specialised campus for those with SEMH (Social Emotional and mental Health) needs has arisen for September 2020 in the role of Class Teacher. While the Schools operate individually, there is unity in the ethos and the partnership in working together to be able to support students to there best ability.

Prior Experience working with either those who display challenging behaviour or are considered vulnerable is preferred but nonessential. While the class sizes are smaller than mainstream, there are increased members of staff to support students’ academic studies and to provide pastoral care.

In the role of Teacher, you will be delivering lessons in a similar style to Literacy for Life and working with a class throughout the day on a reduced time table of 4 sessions per day.

The School is located near Wolverhampton train station for those looking to commute with the closet tram stop being Priestfield and an onsite car park for those who drive.

The ideal candidate will have:

1) Prior Experience working with young people (ASD & SEMH Preferred but not essential)

2) Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS), subscribed on the update service.

3) Legal Right to work in the United Kingdom

4) Ability to attend an interview in July 2020 and start Fulltime hours in September 2020.

5) Full Job History and original certificates for relevant qualifications.

Qualifications Required: 6 months experience within a school or similar setting

Salary: £126.25-189.36

Hours: 8:30 – 4:30 Monday to Friday

Location: Wolverhampton
