Behaviour Buddy

We are currently seeking a Behaviour Buddy to working with students in an alternative setting in Wolverhampton. The role will be working with students in a 1:2:1 basis assisting students academically and emotionally throughout their school day.

The provision supports KS4 Students with over 40 students in attendance on a varying timetable. The students are enrolled in GCSE Students with options to undertake vocational subjects.

This role will be starting in September 2020 Monday to Friday during term time only with a 12-week probation hire period.

Students who have been referred to the provision will come under the Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties (BESD, formerly EBD). The role is well suited for those who have a teaching assistant or counselling experience however not essential.

Located with a specialist campus with three separate provisions each work in partnership to provide support to staff and students. Centrally located well suited for those who wish to commute by and with access to parking for drivers.

The ideal candidate will have:

1) Prior Experience working with young people (ASD & SEMH Preferred but not essential)

2) Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS), subscribed on the update service.

3) Legal Right to work in the United Kingdom

4) Ability to attend interview in July 2020 and start Fulltime hours in September 2020.

5) Full Job History and original certificates for relevant qualifications.

Qualifications Required: 6 months experience within a school or similar setting

Salary: £65 - £85 a day

Hours: 8:30 – 4:30 Monday to Friday
