We are looking currently recruiting for a Deputy Catering Manager to prepare, cook and present food which meets the school standards and according to the Catering Manager’s direction. We are looking for someone with an experienced catering background to carry out ordering and processing and running a programme throughout the week where students help prepare lunches and snacks for the day.
Duties as Deputy Catering Manager:
• Assist in the planning and preparation of innovative seasonal menus and cooking for special functions and events which encourage healthy and nutritional eating habits
• Ensure food is prepared in accordance with relevant regulations and procedures
• Deliver excellent standards of customer service
• Assist with stock control/stock taking including receiving and checking supplies and safe storage
• Instruct Catering Assistants in food production
• Carry out additional tasks as and when required
• Deputise for the Catering Manager as and when required
• Actively promote the safety and welfare of our children and young people
Qualifications Required: Relevant Catering Qualification
Desirable Qualifications: Level 3 Health & Hygiene Certificate, First Aid Qualification
Salary: £60-£82 per day (depending on experience)
Hours: 6.45am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday, these may be altered to oversees service in the evenings, bank holidays and weekends.
