Science Technician

We are looking for an experienced Science Technician to work at a Secondary School in Birmingham providing support to the science department. The school represents Service, Excellence, Virtues and Aspiration and these principles are at the heart of all decisions they make to support children in their learning, outcomes and success.

Job Description:

The Science Technician’s main responsibilities include managing laboratories and ensuring that the right equipment, tools, chemicals and other materials are adequately stocked and kept in working condition. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivating person who can also communicate with students and faculty staff, the importance to use laboratory facilities in an appropriate and safe manner and who is consistently maintaining and updating compliance health, safety and security regulations. You will be responsible for setting up the experiments and practical demonstrations which will enhance people’s theoretical learning. The smooth running of the science department is integral to and the high level of support and efficiency the Science Technician has in preparing the rooms for all work to be executed in the Science lessons.

Qualifications Required: Science Technician

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £80 per day

Hours: 8:30-3:30 Monday to Friday
