Smart Education is a recruitment service for schools in the West Midlands. A school in East Birmingham is currently looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 2 or Level 3) to join their team on a long -term basis starting immediately.
The successful candidate will be working as a Teaching Assistant supporting the teacher to young people who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This school caters for young people aged from 5 -14 with SEMH. All the children who attend the school have a Statement of Special Educational Need or an Education and Health Care Plan. The school provides an appropriate curriculum, which encompasses and extends the National Curriculum. The school curriculum model provides a natural progression towards full participation within the National Curriculum framework, with programmes designed for and implemented at an appropriate level.
The successful candidate will have a caring nature and resilient attitude to supporting the students in their care. Have a minimum 6-month experience working with children with special educational needs, committed and enthusiastic about supporting young people to receive the best quality education.
Qualifications Required: Hold Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent. 6+ Months minimum experience
Salary: £65 - £85 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday – Full Time
