Nursery Practitioner SEN 1:1

We are looking for an experienced Nursery Practitioner to work within a Nursery in Walsall to start ASAP providing 1:1 support to a pre – school aged child with Autism and ADHD. You must be level 3 qualified and have experience of working with children with Autism or additional needs. Team Teach, manual handling and Makaton Training would be an advantage.

This role is most likely to be a long term.

We are looking to appoint a flexible, dynamic and dedicated qualified nursery practitioner with experience in working with children with Special Educational Needs.

Previous experience of working with pupils with SEN is essential and the candidate MUST have the following qualities:

• Calm

• Patient

• Consistent

• Firm but Fair

• Ability to build rapport quickly

• Flexible – be able to think on your feet!

• Good sense of humour

• Ability to see things from the students point of view.

Qualifications Required: Level 3 Childcare Specific qualification or above plus 6+ Months minimum experience

Salary: Starting from National Minimum Wage - dependant upon experience

Hours: Hours based upon a rota – part time – to suit the needs of the child
