Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a graduate teaching assistants to work at a large, inner-city Birmingham Secondary Academy.

We are looking for graduates to support in the following departments:

Maths

Science

English

Humanities

This role is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in an education setting and experience teaching and supporting in the classroom.

The school will provide training and full support with your peers, and fantastic CPD and directed time opportunities. If you are an excellent graduate, with a minimum 2:1 degree, apply today.

DUTIES:

The Teaching Assistant will:

- implement agreed school policies and guidelines;

- provide a stimulating classroom environment, where resources can be accessed appropriately by all pupils

- support the class teacher and act as directed

- model best behaviour, speech, work ethic and standards as set by the school

- keep appropriate and efficient records on class behaviour and pupil’s performance

- maintain good order and discipline amongst pupils, in accordance with the school's behaviour policy

- maintain the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom

Qualifications/Experience Required:

Salary: £65 per day depending upon experience

Hours: 8:30-4:30, Monday to Friday

Location: Various locations across the West Midlands
